Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about PROOF, contracts, and payments.

General Questions

What if a creator doesn't hit any performance tiers?

The base pay is always released to the creator when they post content. If no performance tiers are hit during the measurement window, any remaining escrow (tier bonuses) is automatically refunded to your payment method.

How are metrics verified?

PROOF pulls metrics directly from social platform APIs via Phyllo OAuth integration. Creators connect their accounts, and we track views, likes, comments, and engagement automatically. No self-reporting — everything is platform-verified.

What happens if content is deleted during the tracking period?

If content is removed during the measurement window, the last verified metric snapshot is used for milestone calculations. The platform detects content deletion and flags it for review.

Payment Questions

When is my card charged?

Your card is charged when a creator accepts an offer. The total contract value (base pay + all tier bonuses) is placed in escrow at that point.

How quickly do creators receive payouts?

Milestone payouts are initiated instantly when verified. The transfer to the creator's bank account typically completes within 1-3 business days, depending on their bank.

Can I get a refund if I cancel a campaign?

Contracts in draft or offered state can be cancelled without any charge. For accepted/active contracts, the escrow refund depends on the contract state — unreleased milestone funds are refunded, but base pay and already-released tier bonuses are non-refundable.

Creator Questions

Do creators need to pay for PROOF?

No. PROOF is completely free for creators. There are no subscription fees, no commission on earnings, and no hidden charges.

What platforms are supported?

Currently TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Additional platforms are on the roadmap.

Can I work with multiple brands at the same time?

Yes! You can have multiple active contracts from different brands simultaneously. Each contract is tracked independently.
