Audience Quality Gating

The 5-signal audience quality assessment and what pass/warn/block means.

What Is Audience Quality Gating?

Audience Quality Gating evaluates the authenticity and value of a creator's audience using five signals. Each creator receives a pass, warn, or block rating — helping you avoid creators with inflated or fake audiences.

The Five Signals

  1. 1Follower Authenticity — Ratio of real vs. suspected bot/fake followers
  2. 2Engagement Quality — Whether engagement comes from genuine followers vs. engagement pods or purchased interactions
  3. 3Audience-Content Alignment — Whether the audience demographics match the content niche
  4. 4Growth Pattern — Whether follower growth looks organic vs. purchased/spiky
  5. 5Geographic Concentration — Whether audience location aligns with typical creator demographics

Gate Levels

  • Pass (Green) — Audience quality checks are all within healthy ranges. Safe to proceed.
  • Warn (Amber) — One or more signals are borderline. Review the details before committing budget.
  • Block (Red) — Significant audience quality concerns detected. We recommend not working with this creator unless you have specific reasons.

Block-level creators may have purchased followers, engagement pod activity, or other indicators of inauthentic audiences. Proceed with caution — your ROI may be significantly impacted.
